This season as I went away so often, I don’t follow many anime. I barely catch up any anime I wanted to watch when the first episode came out. One anime I follow weekly is Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, which turns out I enjoy it very much.
Consider lately sports anime have been dominating the season, this anime brings a fresh spring feeling. It is a romantic comedy of a hopeless teenage boy who moves in to a new apartment called Kawai Complex and finds out the girl he admires also resides there as the current landlady. His normal life changes into silliness since the other tenants are not just nice, normal people. Everyday Usa Kazunari gets to know the bookworm Kawai Ritsu better, yet annoyed by the older residents, be it his masochistic roommate Shirosaki, broken-hearted woman Mayumi, and sadistic playgirl Sayaka.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou is a slice of life anime. It mainly the protagonist’s daily life and teenagers facing their problems. Each episode is not connected, so after two first episodes and you remember the character, I think this anime can be watched randomly, more like Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.
What I like about this anime is the visual! So well animated and colorful! It reminds me much of Kotonoha no Niwa, showered with comedy and shyness of the main protagonists, Usa and Ritsu. There’s more, the soundtrack is also wonderful. Akito Matsuda composes the soundtrack of this beautiful anime, all the happy and heart-warming tunes as the background music.
If you want a light romantic comedy with two people blush so cutely, enjoy this anime. You may feel your heart all fuzzy because of their dorkness, like I can’t stop smiling and laughing watching the whole 12 episodes.
